took my car to cesars as my check engine light came on. i did my research prior for my lexus rx 2000 and read that it was most likely 1 of 2 air fuel ratio sensors that needed fixing.
when i met with luis, he informed me that he could make the diagnosis from their computer.
an hour later he told me that BOTH sensors needed repairing and total cost would be approx. $600. i thought this sounded fishy as computer should have been able to tell them exactly which sensor needed repair, so i told him to just replace 1 and hopefully that would fix the problem. I paid $286 and that night, my check engine light went back on.
the next day i called the lexus dealership to inquire about what had happened and mechanic told me that if both sensors were failing i would have engine failure and that these guys need to be reported to the Bureau of Auto Repair as they were dishonest with their diagnosis AND didn't repair my car.
i also tried to call cesar to explain my case and to ask for a refund and encountered some very hostile behavior with no offer of a refund. overall, a very bad experience. i definitely felt taken advantage of and am shocked and saddened that there are still people out there that will take advantage of you and admit no wrong doing.
