Delta Queen not what it used to be...
|
I went in today to get an Express Detail at $69.99. I was a little reluctant because the last time I went in they did a lousy job on the regular wash, but I figured the higher cost would insure a better outcome. WRONG! The interior had many places that hadn't been cleaned, wiped, vacuumed. The outside had been waxed over dirty spots. I pointed out the interior to the worker and he said it's more expensive if you want it 'really' clean. He removed a couple of spots from the door and cleaned the steering wheel that had coffee on it but did not clean the many other places with coffee spots or marks. He did not offer any solution to the dirty spots that had been waxed over on the exterior. I left unhappy, but decided to come back and talk to the manager. I didn't get his name, but he was a middle aged blond male. The manager defended the practice of leaving dirty spots in the car including not vacuuming thoroughly, saying that detailing cost $300. He said that if a customer points out dirt left behind, they clean it, but they don't have time to 'really' clean all the cars they do. He offered to clean some of the coffee spots, but I declined because this is their practice; to not 'really' clean cars unless the customer complains, whether you're paying for a basic wash or an Express Detail. In regard to waxing over dirt, he really didn't offer any solution to the problem. During my time there, I had three people offer to do an expensive treatment on my headlights, and clay treat my car bumping the bill to $175, but no one was willing to 'really' clean my car for $69.99. I've been going to this place for over 30 years. I love the gift shop and always drop between $20-$40 when I get my car washed. So sad to see the customer service go down so low. I won't be back.
