Removal of Old Door - Installation of new one
|
Had heard about OnTrac at a visit to Costco. A sales rep came to my home and reviewed my options with me. His answers were straightforward and he seemed to know what he was doing and knew exactly which questions to ask. The reason why is because he was an installer himself for a very long time before and knew what needs to be done beforehand. Because I could only be home for the installation on a Saturday, the waiting time was five weeks. Was not all that happy with the long period but, since I got a Saturday appointment it was OK.
The installation went fairly fast. Robert had that sucker installed within 4 hours. He was very friendly, professional, and informative and even helped me out with tools when I let him know that I wanted to cut off pieces of the old door to be used elsewhere.
The prices were a bit higher than those of other vendors but I felt more confident with OnTrac and the upgrade - especially since I have a lifetime warranty which is also backed by Costco! In my opinion it was worth the additional $150 that it had cost me at OnTrac. Other vendors did not offer such a warranty - makes you wonder how much they stand behind their work!
One thing that I am not so pleased about is OnTrac's idea of rewarding of a $5 gift certificate for leaving up to four feedback reviews for them such as this. Don't get me wrong - I enjoy taking the certificate but it is pretty clear that this money was already calculated in at the time the price was quoted - at least that is how most of the more business savvy customers will see it. This feedback should come naturally and should not be baited with a monetary benefit!
Also, having to sign-up to all these different places (Facebook, Yellowbook, Google) just to leave a review is not really worth the money that you receive at the end.
