SMOG CHECK BAITING/SCAM

They advertise SMOG check and certificate for $14.75. This is a lure and bait scam. I went in to get the SMOG check and parked my car about 20 FT from the testing station and waited while they finish a SMOG check on another car. When the mechanic drove my car to the station, he told me my brakes needed to be changed (I don't think so since I had my brakes changed a couple weeks ago). I told him, "NO", and he says, "I offer you good deal". I just ignored him. Later, this old man came over, spoke a few words in Armenian to the mechanic and suddenly, they told me their SMOG check computer went down and told me to go away. I looked at the computer and it was still running. This is their scam, trick unsuspecting customers with a low-price SMOG check and sell them on a service they don't need. I suspect the car ahead of me got scammed because they had the previous car on the lift to be worked on. BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE - THEY HAVE NO MORALS! ! ! !
